Dad's tips for adding life to a daughter's years
Some days will be better than others. Make sure she knows your love is not dependent on her good behavior.
While there’s no such thing as the perfect dad, if you’re present in her life, apologize when you screw up, and shower her with affection, you might get pretty close.
Encourage her to make mistakes. No one ever succeeded at anything worthwhile without messing up a few times first.
Without exception, always answer when she calls. It probably won’t be urgent, but when it is, you’ll be glad you picked up.
