242. Be careful not to dismiss misbehavior when she’s a toddler just because it seems cute. What’s cute at two is not always so cute at twelve, sixteen, or twenty-one.

81. This is the very same face you’ll see over and over again throughout her life anytime she wants something from you. Be strong, dad. Be strong.

—————————————————

Congratulations Becca Clay!!! She is the winner of last month’s photo contest for submitting the adorable picture of her daughter that you see above. How could you say no to a face like that? A $250 donation has been made in Becca’s honor to The A21 Campaign to help in their fight to end human trafficking in the twenty-first century.

The A21 Campaign is a really cool organization working in Greece and Ukraine in the global fight against the trafficking of humans (primarily young girls). Below is a quick summary I grabbed off their website of who they are and what they do:

The A21 Campaign is comprised of individuals, organizations, government officials, and people like you who are committed to abolishing injustice in the 21st century. Our goal is four-fold:

PREVENT people from being trafficked.
PROTECT and support those who have been trafficked.
PROSECUTE traffickers, and strengthen legal responses to trafficking.
PARTNER with law enforcement, service providers and community members to provide a comprehensive front against trafficking.

According to their website it takes $3000 to support a freed victim of human trafficking in one of A21’s safe houses for a year. Thanks to Becca, a month of support has already been provided for a young girl that’s been freed from slavery in Europe.

One month is awesome, but how cool would it be if a group of us pooled our resources together and somehow found a way to turn that one month into twelve?

If you’re interested in helping make this happen, check out the Razoo* page I set up for it. You can donate there and they have several quick easy ways for you to share it with your friends.

The first month has already been taken care of, and the goal to fund the next eleven is $2750. The deadline for this is September 4, 2011, a.k.a. the birthday of yours truly.

The widget below should update as gifts are made so feel free to check here for progress.

Online fundraising for The Life to Her Years Campaign to Add a Year to a Life

Alright peeps! Let’s make this happen. Let’s add a year to the life of a young girl who’s been trapped in slavery.

*If you don’t know about Razoo, it’s a website for people who want to make generosity a part of everyday life.

72. Dry her off after bath time. When she lays her clean little head on your shoulder and grabs a piece of your shirt, you will want to freeze time.
