Guess what today is? Thursday? Yes. It also just so happens to be the day that “Life Lessons for Dad” hits stores and I need your help in a BIG way!

In fact, this day wouldn’t be here without you all in the first place, so thank YOU! Thank you for being part of this journey. Thank you for encouraging me in so many ways. I’m a better dad today because of you all.

Can we do something BIG together today?
DISCLAIMER: I have no delusions of grandeur about making the bestseller list. This is a coffee table book. I get it. BUT… I do think this book can encourage dads of daughters everywhere to step up, show up, and add life to their daughter’s years.

That, my friends, is what this is all about.

You all helped me get here, and now I need your help to bring this message to dads everywhere. Dads who want to be more than just mom’s assistant. Dads who care. Dads who are engaged in their daughter’s lives. Dads who love deeply and are up for the immensely challenging role of raising talented, confident, and strong young ladies.

With that in mind, I would LOVE it you’d consider doing a few things for me today.

1. Would you please think about buying my book from a book store in your hood (they’re at LifeWay, Barnes & Noble, Walmart and Sam’s) or online from Amazon? DON’T FORGET TO WRITE A REVIEW!!!

2. When you pick up your copy or it arrives in your mailbox, will you take a picture with that bad boy and tag it #lifetoheryears on Instagram or Twitter for the entire universe to see???

3. Last but not least… I want to put my mad iMovie skillz to work and make a music video of you all dancing with your daughters. Whether you order the book or not (please order the book!) do this for me… set your phone up and record a 5-10 second clip of you dancing like a mad man with the little one who changed your world. Music doesn’t matter. I’ll mix the beats. If it’s really good, send it to Dancing with the Stars. After you’ve got that out of your system, upload that baby somewhere and send me the link. You can also email it to me directly at dancingdads@lifetoheryears.com. You in?

Thanks. Well… that’s not good enough. THANK YOU SOOOO STINKING MUCH!!! You’ve added life to my years by making this book possible. Thanks for all of the tweets, shares, forwarded emails, and status updates these last few years. Thanks for sharing your stories with me… the good and the bad. And finally, to all of the dads out there, thank you for being the kind of dads I write about on this blog. You rock sirs. Keep it up.

Let’s show the world how fan-stinking-tastically awesome this whole #dadlife thing can be!
