Dad's tips for adding life to a daughter's years
"My dad would always take me to have tea parties at Hardees… We would get a cookie and hot chocolate. He would sit and listen to me talk and that was our time, just me and him. I will never forget those times."
"I remember when I had a loose tooth waiting on the steps for my dad to come home from work to pull it out. I would see his car at the bottom of the street and be jumping up and down while he parked the car yelling, “Pull my tooth daddy, pull my tooth!"
"Once a year I was allowed cut school with my Dad and go to a local golf tournament. It was a standing date every year. One of many cool things we would do together."
"My parents split when I was barely 17 years old. My dad moved to the other side of the city. I was heading out of town one weekend and my dad said to wave as I drive by his exit on the highway. So as we approached the bridge over the highway, I waved at dad, then looked up and saw him on that bridge waving back! What are the chances something like that could be timed so perfectly! That was over 8 years ago and still remember it fondly."
